Born on January 31, 1981, pop sensation Justin Timberlake started out young in the industry. As a child, Timberlake always loved the spotlight. The desire to perform in front of a crowd led him to audition for Star Search where he sang country music songs as Justin Randall. He was cast in the Mickey Mouse Club in 1993 where he would meet future girlfriend Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, and future band mate JC Chasez. The show ended in 1994, and soon after, Timberlake and Chasez were recruited to be part of an all-male singing group formed by Lou Pearlman.
The band named NSync drew worldwide popularity in the later half of the '90s. They started in 1995 first releasing an album in Europe before conquering the US market. After enduring legal battles against Lou Pearlman, the group later signed on with Jive Records. The band eventually became one of the best-selling boy bands in history.
Aside from music, Timberlake also honed his acting skills and appeared on the Disney movie Model Behavior, which was released in 2000. He performed his first solo single, Like I Love You at the 2002 MTV Video Music Awards. He released his first solo album in November of the same year.
One of Timberlake’s most memorable performances that have gone down in pop music history was his performance during the 2004 Super Bowl with Janet Jackson, where Jackson experienced a brief wardrobe malfunction where a part of her breast was exposed.
Justin Timberlake also pursued several acting roles for several years and made collaborations with other musicians such as Black Eyed Peas and Snoop Dog. He also created his own record company, JayTee records, sometime in 2005.
