Known for his funny roles, actor/ producer Ashton Kutcher started his showbiz career as a fashion model. Before pursuing a career under the spotlight, Ashton was actually a student at the University of Iowa, and majored in biochemical engineering. However, he dropped out of college and in 1998, he joined an IMTA (International Modeling and Talent Association) competition but lost to now Hollywood actor Josh Duhamel. Ashton then joined the New York-based Next modeling agency and appeared in ads for designer brand Calvin Klein, and did some runway modeling in Milan and Paris. He was also featured in a commercial for Pizza Hut. After strutting his stuff as a successful model, Ashton tried his luck in the film industry.
His first major role was when he was cast as Michael Kelso in That '70s Show, a TV series that begun in 1998 and aired its last episode in 2006. He also starred in numerous comedy flicks such as Dude, Where's My Car? in 2000, Just Married in 2003, and Guess Who in 2005. He also had a small role in the 2004 family movie Cheaper by the Dozen, in which he portrayed a selfish actor. In the same year, Ashton Kutcher starred in a drama movie The Butterfly Effect, which showcased his versatility as an actor.
Ashton is also known as one of the brains and host behind the hit TV series Punk'd. Aside from his acting skills, he is also an accomplished producer, having produced several reality TV series such as The Real Wedding Crashers, Adventures in Hollywood, and Beauty and the Geek. Ashton has also made business investments in Geisha House (a Japanese restaurant) and Dolce (an Italian restaurant). He is currently married to Hollywood actress Demi Moore.
